John will be teaching at the SLS Summer Program this July.  John also just completed a teaching tour of Australia.

February 2008

John recently returned from a teaching trip to the UK where he was a featured lecturer at  Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts.  He also led the very first SLS masterclasses and teacher training in Ireland.  John will be a featured speaker at the upcoming SLS Teacher's Conference in March.

June 2007

John Henny will be lecturing at the Learning Annex in Los Angeles on June 11th.  John was recently awarded the level of Master Teacher by Speech Level Singing International.  

Ashley Parker Angel is currently starring on Broadway in "Hairspray".  

Darcy Rose Byrnes recently made her debut on "The Bold and the Beautiful".

Kyrsti Chavez just wrapped a pilot for Ryan Seacrest Productions and E! Entertainment Television.  This 7 year old vocal powerhouse has many fans, including L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who has been requesting Krysti to sing at official events.

Student Olivia Dawn York is co-starring with Jon Gries (Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite) in the new thriller "Elsewhere".  This major role follows her recent appearance on the Disney Channel series "Ned's Declassified".

April 2007

JHVS student Darcy Rose Brynes has won a Young Artist Award for her role as Abby on The Young and the Restless.  She was also recently featured on Without a Trace.

John will be teaching and leading masterclasses in London from April 21-29.  You can view event information HERE.

Student Merissa Haddad recently was awarded the title of L.A.'s Next Great Stage Star.  Merissa won the 6 week competition with some amazing singing. Congratulations!

Registration for the 2007 SLS Summer Program is open as of April 6th.  John will be teaching private lessons and leading masterclasses again this year.

April 2006

John has been in the studio with former O-Town member Ashley Parker Angel to help him get ready for his promotional tour.  His video is #1 on TRL and he has the #3 song on iTunes!!! He will appear on TRL on Tuesday, April 18th.  His website is at www.ashleyparkerangel.com.

JHVS student Jasmine V is on an extended radio tour for her upcoming CD.  This 12 year old singing sensation has signed a major deal with Damon Dash Enterprises.  You can view her website HERE.

January 2006

John Henny has recently been promoted by Seth Riggs to the Instructor Management Team (IMT) for Speech Level Singing International.  This means that John is now responsible for the training of new teachers worldwide.  He will also be traveling and representing SLS in masterclasses and seminars.  This is the highest level within SLS and John feels honored and privileged to be able to work alongside Seth and his fellow IMT.
